Laser Engraving and Cutting Service

Laser engraving and cutting is a technique that uses a carbon dioxide laser to make precise cuts and engravings on a variety of materials. This technology has become increasingly popular in the advertising field due to its numerous advantages

Benefits and Virtues

  • Precision and Detail: The laser is capable of producing extremely precise and detailed cuts and engravings, which is essential for the quality and aesthetics of advertising products.
  • Versatility of Materials: It can be used on a variety of materials such as wood, acrylic, glass, metal, leather and textiles, offering great flexibility in advertising projects.
  • Speed and Efficiency: Laser systems are fast and efficient, allowing large quantities of promotional items to be produced in a short time.
  • Reduced Costs: Despite the initial investment, laser technology can reduce long-term costs due to the speed and precision of the process.
  • Personalization: Allows the creation of highly personalized products, which is key in advertising to attract and retain customers.
  • Less Wear: Since there is no physical contact, the tools do not wear out easily, which prolongs the useful life of the equipment.

  • Engraving on wood, glass, leather and plastics
  • Cutting thin metals, wood, acrylics and textiles
  • Marking of codes and texts on industrial surfaces

Cutting and Engraving Process Laser Generation:

  • Laser Generation: The CO2 laser is generated by exciting a mixture of gases (carbon dioxide, nitrogen, hydrogen and helium) in a laser tube. This mixture of gases is energized by an electric current, which causes the emission of coherent photons (particles of light).
  • Beam Direction: The generated laser beam is directed through a series of mirrors and lenses that focus it on a specific point. Accuracy of focus is crucial for detailed cutting or engraving.
  • Interaction with Material: When the focused laser beam hits the material, the laser energy is converted to heat, causing the material to vaporize, melt, or burn. The intensity and duration of the laser determine whether the material is cut (full penetration) or etched (surface removal).

Process Control:

  • Design Software: Before starting cutting or engraving, you need a digital design of the pattern or image you want to create. This design is created in graphic design software, such as CorelDRAW or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Parameter Setting: The machine operator adjusts various parameters depending on the material and the desired result, such as laser power, cutting speed and laser pulse frequency.
  • Job Execution: The laser cutting/engraving machine follows the instructions of the design software to move the laser head over the material. This process is controlled by a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) system, which guarantees precision and repeatability.

Frequently Asked Questions

The CO2 laser can cut and engrave a variety of materials, including wood, acrylic, leather, glass, textiles, and certain types of metal, among others.

Yes, we offer a wide variety of ADA Signage including elevator and escalator safety signs, equipment cautions, freight, out-of-order and more in English and bilingual formats.

You can send us the font you like and we will look at it and let you know if it can be engraved. Too many fonts don’t look good together and one font on a plaque looks rather plain and boring. Our engravers can manipulate text, fonts, logos, flourishes and other designs to make you a truly personalized plaque. However if there is a particular font or look to the plaque that you would like us to use please feel free to let us know.

Laser engraving and cutting offers greater precision, versatility in materials, speed in production, and the ability to create complex, custom designs with less tool wear.
